Climate Change

So while we’re on the subject: take a look at today’s London Independent article on the US drought. This is why climate change is important. I visited Utah and Arizona, California and Nevada, back in 2002. I was struck very forcibly by how reliant that whole region is on just a couple of rivers, the Colorado being the main one. It is drying up. Too much water is being taken out and too little is falling as rain to replenish it.

Yes climate change is a big deal. Australia has been in a drought since the early millennium. During high school it rained fewer than 10 times in my six years there. And now everybody has become water conscious and we have water restrictions for everything. But recently we just got major storms and the floods killed a couple of people. Strange thing climate is.
