Casa Mila, or “La Predera” (the quarry).

Photos from a trip to Barcelona a couple of years back. Something got me thinking about this today. Surreal, beautiful, one of a kind. And the building ain’t bad either… 🙂

Wow, thanks for the nice pictures! Is that SA, the one who commented on my bowl of cherries? Whoever she is, she’s got a lovely smile!

You know, those concrete objects behind her are really, really creepy.

    Yes, I am blessed.
Those sculptures are on Gaudi’s masterpiece, the Casa Mila. Read about it all here: http://www.greatbuildings.com/buildings/Casa_Mila.html
He is also responsible for the Sagrida Familia cathedral, which blew us away. It is quite unique, nothing like it I have ever seen. When we emerged from the underground train station we stared up at this magnificent sight and were awestruck. I’ll post some more pictures of Barcelona soon.

OK thanks, those images help. I now see an organic vision.

But Casa Mila, in photos anyway, still looks like erect penises with Star Wars storm trooper heads. Sorry. I’m a culturally depraved (and deprived) North American White Guy. So that means I don’t have to say I’m sorry. But I do anyway.
